School organizes sports competition for the children with disabilities

Badhit Bal Vikas Kendra is a registered NGO & a senior secondary school for the hearing & visually disabled in Kota.

During the International Week for Disabled Persons, from 1st December to 3rd December, the school organized sports competitions for their children.

Various competitions including Relay Race, Throwball, Pushups, Situps, Dodgeball, etc were played by the children with utmost enthusiasm.

Most of the children who study & live at the school are from nearby villages. For them, it was the first such experience to be able to participate in these sports in a professional manner.

“A lot of preparation goes into organizing these competitions. At Badhit Bal Vikas Kendra, we believe that sports have a very important role to play in the overall development of kids with disabilities. It develops their brain & makes them more confident”, Sarveshwari Raniwala, the president of the school, told us. 

3rd December is celebrated all over the world every year as International Day for Disabled Persons to raise awareness & promote rights and well-being of persons with disabilities in all spheres of society and development.
