Male Tiger T-115 had already made its territory for last 2 years where the tigress was released on Saturday.

Locals and wildlife conservationists hope that the two tigers would mate and increase their numbers in this new reserve.

While the Tigress T-102 was captured from Ranthambore and translocated to Ramgarh, the male Tiger T-115 had loitered on its own through the corridor which enables natural movement of tigers.

Ramgarh Vishdhari Wildlife Sanctuary was declared a Tiger Reserve by National Tiger Conservation Authority in 2021.

A year later, the Tiger Reserve already has 2 big cats which is a promising sign.
