Kishan Suman is a farmer from Kota who invented ‘Sadabahaar Aam’, a variety of mangoes which comes throughout the year.
Kishan has received an award from the National Innovation Foundation for this innovation in March this year. President of India, Pranab Mukherji also has praised him for this innovation and Kishan got a request from Rashtrapati Bhavan to plant four of these special varieties of mangoes.
We all got to hear about the Rajasthan Global AgroMeet which happened in Kota last month. Gram Kota, 2017 took place from 24-26th May 2017 at RAC Ground, Shivpura, Kota.
The 3-day event brought all stakeholders- farmers from in and around Kota, academicians, technologists, agribusiness companies and policy makers – to accelerate development of sustainable agricultural and allied activities through innovative methods and best practices.
Few days prior to AgroMeet, when RJ Ved interviewed this farmer, he got to know that Kishan is fighting for a small space at the Global Rajasthan AgroMeet. RJ Ved felt Kishan definitely deserves a space to exhibit his incredible innovation, so he took the initiative and called up the Joint Director Agriculture Department Rajasthan, then Ved called up the Nodal officer and other concerned authorities to raise the issue.
The aftermath of all this, Sadabahar Aam reached Gram Kota and saw an amazing response from people.
At Kota City Blog, we are glad that Radio City isn’t just saying “Rag Rag M Daude Kota City”, they are proving it with their actions & initiatives for the city. More Power to them!
This is one inspiring story of how an RJ did something beyond the part of his work and it resulted in helping a farmer in most encouraging way possible. Know any inspiring story from city which you’d like us to share? Write to us at email@example.com
